Bricsys' latest Bricscad™ release, 12.1.15, has addressed the compatibility issues that were preventing PathPlanner from operating as it should. The original news announcement from Wed, Feb 01, 2012, was as follows:

Due to a bug in the latest versions of Bricscad V12, V12.1.11 and later, PathPlanner A5 and R4 are prevented from running as they should.

Gothenburg, Sweden and Beijing, China; Janaury 17, 2012 - Simtra, a leading developer of software solutions for aviation and transportation planners, designers, engineers and architects, and Suzhou Gstarsoft, the company behind GstarCAD, announced today that all PathPlanner software from Simtra is now compatible with GstarCAD 2011 and later. Until today, the software had been available for AutoCAD^®, MicroStation^® and Bricscad™.   

Sometimes it's the little details that make all the difference! In the latest edition of PathPlanner A5, version 5.90, it is now possible to reduce the operational limits of a selected passenger boarding bridge, thus eliminating the need to request a new bridge for each specific operational range. Further, the revised Taxiway Edge Safety Margin for Airplane Design Group VI as per Change 17 of FAA Advisory Circular 150/5300-13 has been incorporated.

PathPlanner R4 has become even more accessible! Besides English and French, version 4.50 is now available in German. In addition, PathPlanner R4 is for the first time compatible with GStarCAD, a .dwg-compatible CAD software produced by China based Gstarsoft. It goes without mentioning that PathPlanner R4 continues to run smoothly in AutoCAD, Bricscad (now including V12) and various Bentley CAD platforms such as MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i, PowerCivil V8i and PowerInRoadsV8i.
